Ted Bingo Sister Sites 2022

Ted Bingo is one of more than two hundred casino and bingo sites that were sold to the Broadway Gaming Group by 888 UK Limited in early 2022. Having acquired all of the Ted Bingo sister sites, Broadway Gaming created Grand Battery Holdings Limited to look after them from a licensing and regulatory perspective. If you want a full list of everything that’s now in the hands of Grand Battery Holdings Limited, check out our dedicated 888 and Broadway Gaming pages. On this page, we’ll be checking out some of the top Ted Bingo sister sites and then reviewing Ted Bingo in detail.

Spectra Bingo

Spectra Bingo logo

Spectra Bingo is a confusing casino. It has “bingo” in its name, which ought to mean that you’ll find a site full of bingo rooms waiting for you, but you won’t. Spectra Bingo offers barely any bingo rooms at all. Instead, it has a portfolio of around five hundred online slots. That alone makes it unusual among the Ted Bingo sister sites because most of them are bingo-focused, and the ones that aren’t tend to identify themselves as such with the use of the word “slots” or “casino.” New players at Spectra Bingo – by which we mean the people who decide to stick around after finding out the bingo games they came to the site for aren’t there – can get £30 in bonus funds and thirty free spins by joining and depositing £10. The wagering requirements attached to the bonus are a mere x4 if used on bingo, but that jumps up to a disgracefully high x85 if used on online slots. We’ve included Spectra Bingo on this list because it’s popular with players, but we assure you there are better casinos with better terms on the network.

Ted Bingo Spectra Bingo

Top Class Bingo

Topclass Bingo logo

If you were to go straight from Spectra Bingo to Top Class Bingo, you’d get a strong sense of deja vu. The sites were clearly built with the same template – a template that was used to build a lot of the lesser-known Ted Bingo sister sites – and the content of both casinos is very similar. That means, yet again, we have a Grand Battery Holdings Limited site that has “bingo” in its name but doesn’t deliver much bingo. It offers five hundred “hand-picked” slots instead, but whoever hand-picked those slots must also have hand-picked the slots at Spectra Bingo because they’re the same in both places. We regret to report that the same welcome promotion also exists at Top Class Bingo, so you can get value for money by claiming a £50 bonus and using it in bingo rooms when you first join, but if you decide to take the casino’s advice and play slots instead, you’ll be left to fight your way through an x85 wagering requirement. Given that you can only withdraw £100 from the bonus, the time and effort it would take to get through the wagering requirements simply aren’t worth it.

Ted Bingo Top Class Bingo

Diva Bingo

At some point as we progress through this list of Ted Bingo sister sites, we’re going to arrive at a site that does what it sounds like it should do. However, that moment hasn’t arrived yet. As you might already have guessed from that introduction, Diva Bingo makes it a hat trick of Grand Battery Holdings bingo sites that aren’t really bingo sites. The casino (we’re calling it a casino rather than a bingo site because it’s loaded with online slots) claims to offer “a super line up of bingo games” but makes those games almost impossible to find. The site is clearly aimed at female players, with fairly stereotypical pink highlights and pictures of diamonds everywhere you look. If you’re wondering about the Diva Bingo welcome promotion, it’s the same as the welcome promotion at Top Class Bingo and comes with the same dreadful terms and conditions. We suspect that Grand Battery Holdings isn’t going to keep all of the sites it bought from 888 UK Limited up and running, so the Ted Bingo sister sites at the Diva Bingo end of the scale might be at risk.

Treasure Bingo

Treasure Bingo logo

While we haven’t exactly described those first three Ted Bingo sister sites in glowing terms, they aren’t the worst sites on the newly-formed Grand Battery Holdings Limited casino network. There are sites like Treasure Bingo that rank below them. Treasure Bingo is one of the oldest sites on the entire network and appears to us to be in a state of semi-abandonment. The homepage of the site highlights the most recently added game to the casino’s library, and the game is Mustang Gold. It’s one of Pragmatic Play’s finest creations, but it’s more than three years old. We suspect that Treasure Bingo hasn’t had any updates for at least that long, and we’re a little suspicious that the list of recent big winners at the site appears as “lucky player one, lucky player two,” and so on rather than the names or usernames of the players who’ve supposedly won big while playing here. Still, at least the wagering requirements of x30 attached to the £40 welcome promotion at Treasure Bingo are a lot more reasonable than the terms of the other welcome promotions we’ve seen thus far.

Quizingo

Quizingo

Quizingo is a massive step up from the first four Ted Bingo sister sites we looked at. For a start, Quizingo actually has a wide range of bingo games to choose from and showcases those games on its homepage. The payouts here aren’t the biggest we’ve ever seen – the site pays out an average of £3000 in its jackpot bingo rooms each week – but bingo is as much about the social aspect as the financial aspect for a lot of players, and the Quizingo rooms are friendly spaces. There’s more to Quizingo than bingo, though, and we’re not talking about the small collection of online slots available at the site. We’re talking about the regular quiz nights that the site holds. If you’re a pub quiz whizz or you always know the answers when you’re watching TV gameshows, you can capitalise on your knowledge at Quizingo and walk away with cash prizes. New players who join and deposit £10 get ten free spins to play with on the Irish Luck slot plus £30 as a bingo bonus, which comes with an x4 wagering requirement before it can be withdrawn.

Quality Bingo

Quality Bingo

Quality Bingo sets out to deliver exactly what it promises with its name – a first-class bingo experience for UK players. It’s one of the more confident Ted Bingo sister sites, proclaiming itself as “your new excellent bingo site” right at the top of its homepage. In an attempt to hook people into signing up straight off the bat, Quality Bingo offers 105 bingo tickets and ten free spins on its slots as a welcome promotion for anyone willing to part with £10 or more when they sign up. Unlike almost all of the other casinos on this network, Quality Bingo doesn’t impose any wagering requirements on the promotion. If you win anything from either the bingo tickets or the free spins, funds are credited to your cash balance and can be withdrawn immediately. Popular bingo rooms at Quality Bingo include Fun In 90, Mystery Jackpots and Blighty 90. If 90 balls are too many for you, the site also offers 70, 50 and 30-ball bingo games that flash past in the blink of an eye. Quality Bingo also has a far larger iGaming portfolio than most Ted Bingo sister sites, with more than one thousand online slots in its library.

Bingo All Stars

Bingo All Stars

A celebrity connection or endorsement can go a long way in the world of online casinos and bingo sites. Bingo All Stars has more such endorsements than any of the other Ted Bingo sister sites, with no fewer than four famous faces from the 1980s and 1990s involved in the promotion of the site. Take a trip down memory lane as you play in bingo rooms themed around Mr Motivator, Rustie Lee, Christopher Biggins and Linda Lusardi. You can get five tickets for Rustie’s Room just by signing up for the site and depositing £10, although the wagering requirement of x50 on the £10 bingo bonus that comes with the promotion seems needlessly excessive. The same wagering requirement also applies to the slots you can play with the £20 bonus that also comes as part of the welcome package. Many of the bingo rooms at Bingo All Stars are exclusive to the site, so if you’re looking for a bingo experience you won’t find elsewhere, you don’t have to look any further than this site. The site has been online since 2020 and offers one-of-a-kind experiences like cooking classes with Rustie Lee and fitness training with Mr Motivator as prizes.

Genie Riches

Genie Riches

We take a break from bingo now as we move on to Genie Riches. We’ve already said that most of the Ted Bingo sister sites focus on bingo, but there are a few slots and traditional casino sites on the Grand Battery Holdings network for good measure. Genie Riches is one of them. In keeping with the genie theme, anyone who joins the site and deposits at least £10 gets to rub the genie’s lamp and is granted three wishes. The wishes come in the form of “mystery gifts,” which could be just about anything. Players can also claim a 100% matched deposit bonus worth up to £100, although the associated x50 wagering requirement takes a lot of the fun out of that. The jackpot slots at Genie Riches promise to pay out more than £100,000 in cash every week, and there are a further seven hundred regular slots to choose from if you’re not a fan of the lower RTP rate that comes with jackpot slots. There’s no bingo at Genie Riches – that’s catered for amply elsewhere on this casino network, but the site’s collection of Slingo games should scratch the bingo itch.

Ted Bingo Genie Riches

Bingo Barmy

Bingo Barmy

Bingo Barmy is for people who are barmy about bingo. This is an eccentric bingo site, and it makes no apologies about that. Nowhere else among the Ted Bingo sister sites, nor anywhere else on the internet, will you find a casino that has a smiling glitterball pineapple for a mascot. Aside from being incredibly quirky, Bingo Barmy has an incredibly generous welcome offer. If you deposit £10 with this site, you’ll receive thirty free spins and no fewer than 1150 bingo tickets in return. Based on what we’ve seen elsewhere on this network, we’d naturally expect such a massive offer to be tied to some prohibitive wagering requirements, but Bingo Barmy doesn’t believe in wagering requirements. The site has no wagering requirements on any of its promotions and promises that it will stay that way forever. That alone makes Bingo Barmy worth a visit, and if you can cope with the outright strangeness of the site, you might very well find that it becomes your new favourite place to play bingo. The best of the site’s prizes can be found in the Bingo Barmy “Royal Room,” but you’ll have to work hard to gain an invite to it.

Ted Bingo Bingo Barmy

888 Bingo

888 Bingo logo

There’s no way we can finish off our shortlist of Ted Bingo sister sites without talking about 888 Bingo. It’s still surreal to see 888 Bingo in the hands of Grand Battery Holdings Limited rather than 888 UK Limited, but the site was included in the deal when Broadway Gaming paid a huge amount of money to acquire more than two hundred sites from 888 at the start of 2022. The original 888 logo still appears in the corner of the site, and unless you’d heard about the sale or paid attention to the information in the footer of the website, you’d never know anything had changed before. This was always 888’s most loved bingo site despite having other popular sites in its collection (not least 888 Ladies) and comes with a long-standing welcome promotion of £50 in bonus funds for a return of £10. The wagering requirement associated with the bonus is x30, which is reasonable in the context of the average such requirement across the UK. 888 Bingo is a surprisingly drab-looking site considering its high profile, but it comes with busy, jackpot-laden bingo rooms.

Ted Bingo Review 2022

When we were talking about the Ted Bingo sister sites, we mentioned that a few of them claim to be bingo sites but are actually online slots casinos in disguise. Ted Bingo is one such site. That’s a fairly significant flaw to overlook if you’ve come to Ted Bingo looking for bingo games, but is it worth sticking around to find out what else the site has to offer? Some players might find the idea of a cute teddy bear in a suit as a mascot a good enough reason to give Ted Bingo a chance, but other players will want more substance. With that in mind, let’s see what Ted Bingo has to offer.

ted bingo laptop screenshot 2021

Ted Bingo Welcome Bonus

New players who join Ted Bingo and make a first deposit of at least £10 get a shot of winning a £700 bingo bonus. However, they might (and probably will) end up with considerably less than that. The welcome gift new players receive is determined by the spin of a bonus wheel. The £700 bingo bonus is the biggest prize on the wheel, but there are several smaller prizes on there, too, including a fairly meagre £15 bingo bonus and a miserly forty free spins. To make matters worse, the wagering requirement attached to free spins winnings is a brutal x85. For bingo games, it’s a far more reasonable x4, although we’ve seen lower than that elsewhere on this casino network – most notably at Bingo Barmy.

Ongoing Promotions

This is going to be a very short section. There are no ongoing promotions at Ted Bingo. It’s one of the more basic casino and bingo sites on the Grand Battery Holdings network, with a limited portfolio of games and no significant promotions. Once you’ve worked your way through the welcome promotion – which, as we discussed above, may not be especially substantial – you’ve seen everything the site has to offer in terms of perks. If you’re looking for loyalty rewards, you’re looking in the wrong place.

Top Games at Ted Bingo

The top three games at Ted Bingo are bingo games, which makes a refreshing change from the name compared to some of the Ted Bingo sister sites we did mini-reviews of above. The site is still led more by slots than anything else, and you’ll have to do a lot of digging through the site’s badly-organised portfolio before you’re even able to find any more bingo games, but the most popular bingo games at Ted Bingo are “1p Bingo Games,” “Live Bingo Rooms,” and “Mystery Jackpots.” “Daily Bingo Jackpot” is there in fourth place.

Aside from the bingo games, most of the more popular games at the site are well-known classics from popular providers. The only slots game marked as “hot” on the Ted Bingo homepage at the time of our visit was Starburst, which doesn’t come as a surprise. It’s the most popular online slots game of all time and remains a featured game at countless online casinos even though it’s knocking on for ten years old. NetEnt broke the name when they made the original Starburst and have never been able to top it. That’s despite releasing sequels and connected games like Slingo Starburst, which appears next to Starburst in the Ted Bingo slots catalogue and ought to delight anybody who’s a fan of the combination of bingo and online slots. Other well-known, very popular slots in the Ted Bingo collection include Big Time Gaming’s original Megaways hit Bonanza, the fishing-themed Big Bass Bonanza by Reel Time Gaming, and Eyecon’s Temple of Iris 2.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Ted Bingo, as we’ve said a couple of times, is a fairly basic casino website. Basic casino websites tend to have basic payment and withdrawal options, and so that proves to be the case here. You can make deposits at the site through your debit card, PayPal account, bank transfer, or Apple Pay if you’re an Apple customer. Unfortunately, Ted Bingo takes two days to process withdrawal requests before it even tries to send any money to players. After that, you’re looking at a further five business days for debit card withdrawals, four to seven business days for bank transfers, and two to three business days for PayPal. That means it’s impossible to get a withdrawal from Ted Bingo in fewer than four business days no matter which method you use.

Customer Service

The quality of Ted Bingo customer support is good, with all bases covered. The fastest way to solve a problem at Ted Bingo is by phoning the casino on 0808 238 9836, which is a freephone number. The casino also provides an email address ([email protected]) for queries and is happy to speak to customers via live Messenger chat on Facebook.

Ted Bingo – The Verdict

Ted Bingo is a basic casino site, but it’s a good basic casino site. You probably won’t stick with Ted Bingo for very long because there aren’t any promotions to stick around for, but the welcome offer can be generous so long as you stick to bingo rooms, and the collection of 500-or-so slots should keep you entertained for a while even if you tire of the bingo rooms.

What are players saying about Ted Bingo?

Here are our condensed/reader’s digest summaries of recent player reviews of Ted Bingo. The reviews are real, but we’ve edited some of the comments to keep them brief.

  • 03-Aug-2022 by Adrienne:

  • 25-Jul-2022 by Will:
I withdrew some money a week ago and still don’t have it. They’re fast to take your money but slow to pay you, and that’s why I won’t be playing here again. – source: TrustPilot
  • 24-Jul-2022 by Andrew:
I’m sad to be writing this review because I’ve been playing at Ted Bingo for a while, but I’ve started to distrust them. I’ve just played through £200 at 25p a spin and didn’t get a single bonus. That isn’t fair play – source: TrustPilot

Ted Bingo – A Deeper Dive

Social Media Status

There are many ways of taking the pulse of an online casino in the modern age. One of the most effective is checking out the casino’s social media output. Social media is where a lot of would-be players are likely to look before deciding whether a particular casino is the right place for them to spend their money. If the first thing a potential customer of Ted Bingo customer looks like is the company’s Facebook account, they’re likely to be happy. The branded page looks good and is updated regularly with information and promo codes for players. It only has one thousand followers, but that’s not bad for a casino brand on social media.

Twitter is a different story. Ted Bingo has fewer than eighty followers on Twitter and doesn’t seem particularly interested in engaging with them. It hasn’t posted since the day of the Manchester Arena bomb attack in May 2017, which is an odd note to leave the account on. Not only does looking at the official Ted Bingo Twitter account tell you that there’s nobody maintaining it anymore, but it also reminds you of the exact opposite of the fun things you should be thinking about when you come to play bingo or casino games. There’s little to look at elsewhere. Ted Bingo doesn’t have a YouTube or Instagram account. The Facebook page is lively and vibrant, but the Twitter page could definitely use either a fresh lease of life or outright deletion.

In The Shadow Of Giants?

The Ted Bingo brand belongs to Grand Battery Holdings now, but it and all the Ted Bingo sister sites used to belong to the 888 Group. In some ways, that’s a good thing. There aren’t many companies in the online casino and gaming business bigger than the 888 Group. Just being on the 888 roster is a boost for any casino brand trying to find its feet in the market. The downside is that not all of the 888 Group’s casino brands can be a priority, and all signs point to the idea that Ted Bingo wasn’t a priority brand for the gaming behemoth. We’re yet to see any signs of that changing with Broadway Gaming, which owns Grand Battery Holdings.

No brand will ever be bigger to the 888 Group than the 888 Casino itself, but there were other big hitters under the 888 umbrella. Robin Hood Bingo is one of them, having been advertised on television many times in the past. Prize Land Bingo, the former Bingo Iceland, is another of the company’s higher-profile bingo companies. Vegas Spins is higher up the pecking order than Ted Bingo, too. Unlike some of the companies we’ve just mentioned, Ted Bingo has never made an appearance on a television commercial. It doesn’t enjoy the kind of sponsorship or endorsements that some of its sister sites and casino brands enjoy either. Being with this parent company might mean that Ted Bingo has a better budget for pay-per-click advertising and the like than similar bingo sites do, but being on the lower half of the former 888 roster in terms of priorities comes with its own problems.

Where Teddy Bears Come From

The name Ted Bingo is inspired by teddy bears. You can see that easily when you look at the casino’s logo and graphics, all of which make use of a cute teddy bear mascot. Have you ever stopped and wondered where teddy bears come from and why they became popular? We suspect that most people haven’t – and so those people are likely to be quite surprised when they hear that the tradition of owning teddy bears isn’t as old as you think it is, and it’s all connected to a former President of the United States of America. Give yourself a pat on the back if you knew all of this already! If you’re in possession of a little knowledge of politics and history, you may already have (correctly) guessed that the US President we’re talking about is Theodore Roosevelt. There’s an irony here because although the US media often referred to him as “Teddy,” Roosevelt hated the nickname. It probably irritated him no end that it went on to inspire a whole range of soft toys that will forever be associated with him.

Teddy Roosevelt Ted Bingo

A President And His Friends

Way back in November 1902, Roosevelt went on a hunting trip to Mississippi with the state governor, Andrew H. Longino and some other friends. Roosevelt had no luck on the trip. As the day was coming to a close, Roosevelt was the only one among their number who was yet to kill anything. Not wanting to embarrass the President, Longino and the other hunters trapped, clubbed, and tied up a bear and then invited Roosevelt to shoot it and claim it as a trophy. Roosevelt felt it was unsporting to shoot an animal that had no chance of escape and declined the offer.

Somebody on the hunting expedition must have talked about the incident because it was turned into a political cartoon in the Washington Post by the famed artist Clifford Berryman on November 16th 1902. Berryman exaggerated the smallness and cuteness of the bear in order to make Roosevelt seem as sympathetic as possible. The cartoon was popular and caught the eye of New York-based shop owner and toymaker Morris Michtom. He and his wife quickly created a soft, cuddly doll of a bear and put it in their shop window with a label that read “Teddy’s bear.” The bear was based on Berryman’s drawing, and so it had the same cuteness factor. That same cuteness factor led to so many orders for bears that Michtom struggled to keep up with demand.

Michtom knew he had a hit on his hands but also knew that he ran the risk of falling foul of the President by using his name in association with the bear without permission. He packaged up a bear and posted it to Roosevelt, asking for his approval to carry on selling them. To his surprise – and the surprise of every historian who knows how Roosevelt felt about being called “Teddy,” permission was granted. The rest is history. “Teddy’s Bear” became “Teddy Bear,” and Roosevelt even used one of them as his personal mascot when standing for re-election. The rest is history. When President Roosevelt stood in those woods and refused to shoot that bear, he began a chain of events that led to the creation of Ted Bingo!
