The Sun Bingo Sister Sites

When VF2011 Limited was first founded, it had little purpose other than to manage the Sun-branded iGaming sites. VF2011 was (and perhaps still is) an extension of the newspaper group that looks after the controversial newspaper, so brands that carry The Sun’s name and logo will always be its priority. Not all of the Sun Bingo sister sites have the newspaper’s branding these days, though. As a casino network company, VF2011 has gone beyond its original remit and introduced a second brand to the Sun Bingo sister sites – the “Fabulous” brand. Find out more about all of the Sun Bingo sister sites below.

The Sun Vegas

The Sun Bingo and The Sun Vegas are sister sites, but they’re also casino sites that complement one another. If the Sun Bingo mostly deals in bingo, though, that leaves The Sun Vegas free to deal in pretty much everything else. Backed and branded by one of the largest tabloid newspapers in the UK, The Sun Vegas attempts to digitise the glamour of Las Vegas and serve it up to discerning casino fans. The site attempts to cover every aspect of the Vegas experience, incorporating everything from the expected online slots to a live casino, modern game shows, and a full sportsbook. All of this comes with a range of promotions, including matched deposits for new players. Like Sun Bingo, The Sun Vegas has changed owners several times since it was launched more than a decade ago but is now managed by a company directly attached to the newspaper that gave it its name. That means its destiny is now in its own hands – and it seems to be going from strength to strength.

Fabulous Bingo

Fabulous Bingo logo

Fabulous Bingo is the Sun Bingo sister site that sticks out like a sore thumb because it doesn’t come with any Sun branding. However, you can still identify it as part of the same group because of some of the games that it hosts. One of them is a bingo room themed around Mystic Meg, the Sun’s long time astrologer and horoscope expert. Without the Sun’s trademark red and white colour scheme to take cues from, Fabulous Bingo is picked out in pink and white instead and probably has more in common with Sun Vegas than Sun Bingo because of the range of games that it offers. You won’t miss the fact that bingo games are front and centre of this casino site’s offerings, but there are also separate areas of its website devoted to online slots and other casino games. The community page is a place to pick up tips from other players on things like bankroll and time limits, as well as a list of the site’s most recent big winners. It’s a sociable online casino site with a big emphasis on chat and fun and works with almost every modern payment method that’s accepted at top casinos in the 2020s.

Fabulous Vegas

Fabulous Vegas logo

The launch of Fabulous Bingo could be looked at as VF2011 Limited testing the water to see if there was any interest in a new group of Sun Bingo sister sites without the newspaper’s branding attached to them. The experiment must have gone well because Fabulous Vegas came along to join it at the end of 2022. You don’t have to stretch your imagination too far to work out what Fabulous Vegas offers. If Fabulous Bingo is the equivalent of Sun Bingo, Fabulous Vegas is the equivalent of The Sun Vegas. Nobody ever accused the Sun Bingo sister sites of being complicated. Simply put, Fabulous Vegas is the casino for anyone who likes the look of The Sun Vegas but refuses to play there because they hate The Sun. The range of games available at the site is nearly identical, and the promotions aren’t a million miles away from parity either. As casinos go, this is a perfectly functional one.

Sun Bingo News

: Sun Bingo has decked its virtual halls with a festive array of Christmas-themed slot games, offering players at Sun Bingo sister sites a chance to win big this holiday season. Among the highlighted games, Big Bass Christmas Bash stands out with its winter makeover, transforming the beloved fisherman character into a festive elf. This game offers players 10 paylines and the opportunity to win up to 5000x their total bet, with up to 20 free spins available through Scatter symbols. Another popular choice is Leprechaun’s Luck: Cash Collect – Christmas Edition, which swaps the green fields of Ireland for a snowy landscape. This game features four jackpots – Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand – with wins triggered by landing Diamond and Cash Collect symbols on the same spin. Better Wilds – Christmas Edition also captures the holiday spirit with a candy cane aesthetic and snowfall, offering 25 paylines and a Wild Respins bonus triggered by Diamond symbols.

Sun Bingo Big Bass Christmas Bash

For those seeking an immersive experience, Santa’s Big Bash! Megaways invites players into Santa’s grotto, complete with a Christmas tree and a roaring fire. This game boasts up to 117,649 ways to win and a potential payout of up to 25,000x the stake. Catch of the Christmas Day – Respin’em In takes players under the sea for a festive fishing adventure, with bets ranging from 20p to £10 and up to 20 free spins available. The article also highlights Santa’s Winter Wilds, set in Lapland, and Sun Bingo Christmas Megaways, featuring a snowy landscape and a tumble feature for multiple wins.

: This week, Sun Bingo has creatively reimagined traditional bingo calls to infuse the holiday spirit into their games. The writers at The Sun poured plenty of innovation and creativity into intertwining these Christmas-themed calls with the bingo offerings at their own branded platform, ensuring a merry experience for players. Among the novel calls, ‘Number 4 – Ghostly visitors’ references the four ghosts visiting Ebenezer Scrooge in ‘A Christmas Carol’, while ‘Number 9 – Reindeer time’ celebrates the nine reindeer pulling Santa’s sleigh. ‘Number 12 – The Days of Christmas’ humorously nods to the extravagant gifts listed in the famous Christmas song. Further adding to the festive cheer, ‘Number 18 – Snowman in progress’ and ‘Number 22 – All the turtle doves’ draw inspiration from the shapes of the numbers, reminiscent of traditional calls like ‘two little ducks’. ‘Number 33 – Christmas tree’ and ‘Number 41 – Yuletide fun’ keep up the rhyming tradition, with the latter emphasising the essence of the season – fun with loved ones.

The calls continue with ‘Number 51 – Turkey’s done!’, evoking the anticipation of a Christmas feast, and ‘Number 63 – Eat, drink and be merry’, which encapsulates the festive indulgence. ‘Number 73 – Coming down the chimney’ pays homage to the magical arrival of Father Christmas, and ‘Number 88 – Eyes all aglow’ is inspired by the wonder of Christmas, as depicted in Nat King Cole’s ‘The Christmas Song’. To add to the holiday joy, Sun Bingo sister sites are currently hosting a plethora of promotions, ensuring their members have a delightful time without needing to pick up the Baileys.

: On the 10th of December, Sun Bingo commemorated the 122nd anniversary of the Nobel Prizes, a prestigious set of awards that have celebrated remarkable achievements across various fields since 1901. The Nobel Prize, established by Alfred Nobel, a renowned Swedish chemist and inventor, aims to honour those who have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind. Nobel, who is also known for inventing dynamite, intended his fortune to fund these awards, which today would be valued at around £160 million. The Nobel Prizes encompass five categories: Physics, Chemistry, Physiology and Medicine, Literature, and Peace. From 1901 to 2023, these prizes, along with the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, have been awarded 621 times to approximately 965 individuals and 27 organisations. Notable winners include Marie Curie, the first person to win two Nobel Prizes in different fields (Physics in 1903 and Chemistry in 1911), Albert Einstein for Physics in 1921, and Sir Alexander Fleming for Physiology and Medicine in 1945.

Sun Bingo Nobel Prize Memorial

The International Committee of the Red Cross stands out as the organisation with the most Nobel Peace Prizes, having won three times. In 2023, Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman were recognised for their ground-breaking work on mRNA vaccines against COVID-19, a testament to the ongoing relevance and impact of the Nobel Prizes. The youngest Nobel laureate, Malala Yousafzai, was awarded the Peace Prize in 2014 at just 17 years old for her advocacy of children’s education. At the end of the article, Sun Bingo, acknowledging that not everyone might have the opportunity to win a Nobel Prize, highlighted their own games and promotions.

: Sun Bingo is elevating the excitement of Friday evenings with its Facebook Live event, “Ring, Spin, Win.” This engaging promotion, running every Friday from 24th November to 22nd December between 8:30pm and 10pm, offers Sun Bingo players a unique opportunity to win substantial prizes. To participate, players must be registered on Sunbingo.co.uk, be residents of the UK or ROI, and be over 18 years old. Each week, players can qualify for the event by entering the code STUDIO in the Sun Bingo lobby, with the qualification window open from midday Thursday to midday Friday. During the live event, randomly selected participants will receive a call and must answer with the phrase “RING, SPIN, WIN” to earn £10. A celebrity guest will then spin a wheel to determine the potential prize. To claim it, participants must correctly answer a question posed by the celebrity. Prizes range up to £500 in cash or gifts valued up to £300. Additionally, viewers can engage in real-time quiz questions via the Sun Bingo chat or Facebook live stream comments; players with correct answers stand a chance to win a £10 bingo bonus.

Winners of the bingo bonus have seven days to use their bonus, with no wagering requirements attached. For those winning physical gifts, a code and link to the Sun Bingo Prize website will be sent within 21 days of winning, where they can select a prize to be delivered by Amazon UK. This festive and fun initiative not only offers substantial rewards but also brings a sense of community and excitement to the online bingo experience, perfectly capturing the jovial spirit of the season.

: The Sun Bingo sister sites are bringing festive cheer with the Christmas reboot of its Spin-Go Wheel, a now staple promotion across the Sun-branded platforms, which guarantees every spinner a win. This Christmas-themed game is available to Sun Bingo players who are registered, over 18 and have met the deposit and stake requirements. The promotion, running from 20th November 2023 to 3rd January 2024, offers a daily chance to spin the wheel and win a variety of prizes. Participants can win a range of exciting rewards, including a Christmas hamper filled with everything needed for a festive meal, over 50 different tangible gift options, free spins, bonuses, cash, bingo tickets, and entry to a free bingo session.

Sun Bingo Spin Go Wheel

The ‘LOSE’ segment has been removed for this promotion, ensuring that every spin results in a prize. The Christmas hamper prize is available until 17th December, and winners must claim their prize via the prize store to receive it – you should get your festive hamper just before you tuck in on Christmas Day! Prizes are delivered to the winners’ specified addresses, with delivery times varying based on the prize type. To participate, players need to have joined Sun Bingo in the past 30 days or be an existing player who has deposited and staked £10 in the previous 30 days. The Crimbo Spin-Go Wheel can be found under the ‘Promotions’ tab on the Sun Bingo website. This promotion not only offers a chance to win delightful prizes but also adds to the excitement of the holiday season, making every player a winner.

: As National Singles’ Day approaches, the spotlight shines on the myriad ways one can revel in their own company. Unlike Valentine’s Day, which often comes with its set of expectations and commercial pressures, Singles’ Day, celebrated on the 11th of November, is all about individual freedom and joy. The genesis of Singles’ Day lies in the 1990s with a group of Nanjing University students. They conceived the day as a counterpoint to Valentine’s Day, a celebration of singlehood with the date 11/11 representing solitary figures standing together.
On this occasion, Sun Bingo suggests a shopping spree to indulge oneself, reflecting the day’s origins where singles in China treat themselves. It’s a chance to capitalise on exclusive deals offered by retailers. Alternatively, one could reconnect with friends, carving out time to strengthen bonds with loved ones.

Self-care is also high on Sun Bingo’s agenda. This day could be the start of a routine of pampering and treating oneself to simple pleasures or a lavish spa day. Dining alone can be an empowering experience, as can ordering a hearty takeaway without compromise. Alternatively, enjoying culture solo, like a cinema or theatre visit, offers a different kind of indulgence, one centred on personal taste without concessions. For those who enjoy the buzz of a social gathering, throwing a party for fellow singles (and respectful couples) is an excellent way to commemorate the occasion. And, of course, Sun Bingo endorses the joy of online bingo as an ideal Singles’ Day activity, providing both an interactive community and the chance to win, highlighted by their Weekend Windfall promotion with a £25,000 prize on Saturday evenings.

: As the days grow shorter and the nights longer, the online gaming world is shining brighter than ever with enticing promotions. One such event is being spotlighted by the Sun newspaper, which presented a unique promotion from its Sun Bingo platform. This offer beckons players with the tantalising possibility of spending some quality time at the All Star Hotel. Participants eager to join this event can do so by diving into their favourite games on the platform. For every £10 wagered slots, one would secure an entry into the prize draw. It’s a delightful twist, allowing participants to indulge in the games they love while simultaneously increasing their chances of landing that coveted prize.

Sun Bingo All Star Hotel

But what’s so special about the All Star Hotel getaway? Well, it promises not just an ordinary stay but an experience to remember. Winners will be lavishly treated to a world where celebrities are the chefs and stars are the staff. Every aspect of the getaway is meticulously planned to ensure the guests feel like the true celebrities they are. From gourmet meals to world-class entertainment, it’s an all-encompassing royal treatment that awaits the lucky winners. In essence, this promotional event goes beyond just winning; it encapsulates an experience of a lifetime. It’s not just about luxury but about moments that will be etched in memories. As the bingo world continues to innovate and enthral its players with such fantastic promotions, one can only wonder what’s next on the horizon. For now, though, the All Star Hotel beckons!

: Back to the Future Day fell on the 21st of October, yes, apparently it is a thing, at least according to the Sun and the Sun Bingo sister sites, which jumped at the opportunity to promote some of their most futuristic games to tie in with the ‘holiday’. The day may have been and gone for another year, but the six top futuristic slots remain firm fixtures of the game libraries, just in case you want to escape the 21st century. Before the article got around to the game recommendations, it highlighted a few of the predictions that the hit film got right; from Doc envisioning Apple watches before their advent by using his watch to check the weather to using virtual conference tech to using biometric technology.

The Wild Machine is undoubtedly one of the best future-ready games available to play when you create an account with Sun Bingo. On every spin, there is the potential for the 5 x 5 reel grid to shapeshift, when it does, you will be lavished with a smorgasbord of wild symbols, which could lead you towards the top win of 7,000x. If you want to see what it is like for the billionaires in space, you can join a space mission with Gravity Bonanza, which can leave you up to £100k richer, which probably still isn’t enough to reserve a seat on one of the next rockets into space. If neither of those games is your sci-fi cup of tea, try giving Slingo Starburst a whirl instead.

: If the jackpots from the bingo rooms at the Sun Bingo sister sites aren’t big enough for you, you can always check out one of the many cash giveaways they are always running. This week, members can get involved with the £200k cash giveaway; members will receive one entry to the prize draw for every £10 they stake on the participating games after opting into the promo. There are plenty of games to choose from; the biggest three include George and the Dragon, Clover Rollover and Cleopatra’s Heist. Although it will always quite literally be worth checking which games are ‘double ticket games’ for a limited time only. By playing these games, you will receive two entries to the prize draw for every £10 wagered instead of one. The £200k prize will be split into 10,516 chunks, and some will be infinitely larger than others.

Sun Bingo Cash Giveaway

Everyone will find out if they are a winner on the 31st of October after the promo wraps up on the 30th. In terms of top prizes, 1, 15, and 40 players can scoop up prizes of £5,000, £1,000, and £500, respectively. The promotion may not be able to make everyone a winner, but given that 2500 participants will receive £20 and 7000 will receive £10, there is plenty to play for, especially as players can make unlimited entries and receive unlimited prizes. It may have been slightly fairer to limit one prize to each member, but at least the wins can easily rack up for the luckiest players!

: For all of its sins, there is no denying that the Sun newspaper can get creative with its content, especially when it is promoting the Sun Bingo sister sites. On September 22nd, the online newspaper posted an article to celebrate World Rhino Day, which allowed readers to pick the best rhino joke to reveal which rhino-themed slot game would suit them best. It isn’t a fool-proof plan, as slot players should still consider a range of factors before placing a bet, such as volatility, betting range and bonus features. There were eight rhino jokes to choose from, including the gem, how do you stop a rhino from charging? Unplug it.

Apparently, if you like that joke the best, the best online slot game for you to try out for size is Raging Rhino Mighty Ways, which was brought out in November 2022 by Light & Wonder Gaming. If you have ever encountered that developer’s work before, you will probably know that they don’t often create award-winning slots with high-quality graphics, and unfortunately, his high-volatility game falls into that aesthetically disappointing fray, but there is plenty to get excited about in regards to the win potential; with a 20p – £20 bet, you can trigger a 12,000x jackpot win, and every 1 in 207 spins, you can look forward to triggering the FS game, which can spoil you with up to 50 free games that play with win multipliers. There is a super free spins feature too, where wild symbols are guaranteed on every spin!

: The Sun Bingo sister sites have illuminated the Slot Light promotion once more, and this time, you can use it to snag up to 25 free spins on Mega Fire Blaze: Wild Pistolero. To grab your free spins, you will need to opt in and meet the staking requirements before Sunday, the 17th of September. The staking requirements must be fulfilled on the hit game from Blueprint Gaming, Fishin Frenzy Even Bigger Catch. How many free spins you can claim will depend on how much you stake in the in-trend fishing game. For example, if you stake £10, you will receive five free games, but if you have enough of a spinning budget to throw down £50 on the game, you will scoop up the maximum number of free games.

Sun Bingo Mega Fire Blaze Wild Pistolero

If you have played any of the other slot games from the Mega Fire Blaze franchise before, you will already know the bonus feature score with Wild Pistolero. It seems that the developer, Playtech, has discovered a winning bonus formula with this franchise of video slots, and they aren’t inclined to alter it for any new installations. Given the popularity of the franchise which revolves around the hold and win re-spin feature, who can blame them? In the main bonus game, you can win up to 2,000x your stake while you enjoy the Wild West atmosphere, and the exhilaration of being a witness to an authentic Wild West shootout, where all guns are quite literally blazing! With a 10p – £500 betting range, high rollers and budget spinners alike can enjoy the action.

: For anyone sad to see August go and autumn creep closer as September came around, Sun Bingo has created the ultimate end-of-summer blues antidote with their latest cash promotion, which is giving away £750k in prizes. The September Power Weekends will run for five weeks from the start of September, and notably, the prizes aren’t stretched too thin, as every weekend players have the chance to rake in a top £10k prize! Between the 15 daily tournaments, the Sun Bingo sister sites will dish out 30,000 cash prizes – and there is no saying that you can’t win two prizes by the time this promotional window closes. The first weekend of the promotion is dedicated to celebrating the Big Bass slot games, this will switch up in the next week as players are invited to compete by playing slots from the Dog House franchise. During weeks three, four, and five, the theme switches up again with the Megaways weekend, the Sweet weekend, and the Gods weekend.

To participate, opt into the promotion by heading over to the promo page, set your stake to 50p or higher, and hope you get really lucky with your spins as the points will be paid based on in-game multipliers. For example, regardless of your stake size, as long as it is high enough to qualify if you get a 5x win, you will receive 10 points to be put on the relevant tournament leaderboard, if you get a ‘sensational win’ worth 60x your stake, you will be shunted up the leaderboard with 500 points.

: If you pull out your silver spandex pants, can of hairspray and loud acrylic earrings every time there is an 80s night in town, you will be delighted to hear that 80s night has been extended into an 80s weekend hosted by Sun Bingo. According to the Sun newspaper, the bingo weekend that is set to take place between Friday, the 20th of October and Monday, the 23rd of October will consist of live music, shows, quizzes, and, of course, bingo events. Guests will be invited into the Warner Leisure Lakeside Hotel in the heart of Hampshire; judging by the events billings, the weekend is only for the brave as the 80s nostalgia session will be a three-day long party! If you are interested in attending, a half-board stay is priced at £283 per person. In addition to a cushy room to stay in, the price also includes breakfast and dinner, and all the back-to-back shows and events you can stomach.

The Sun Bingo Party

While the event planners couldn’t quite stretch to getting iconic 80s bands to play at the event (and for the ticket price, they really should have been able to!), the event planners were able to rope in Wham, Duran Duran, and Prince tribute acts. Virgin Radio DJs will also be on hand to curate the definitive 80s playlist, which will throw you right back to the days (nights) of 80s discos. As you will probably need a little bit of downtime around the partying, you will also be welcome to chill out by the pool, or in one of the many relaxation lounges.

: As it can be hard to keep track of all the promotions that pop up on the Sun Bingo sister sites, the sites frequently use their very own newspaper to give the lowdown on them. On the 25th of July, an updated list of all the best bingo bargains and promotions was listed, including free bingo games, huge cash pots, daily deals and promotions that can put tangible prizes through your letterbox. The first item on the rundown was the Spin-Go wheel, which is available to spin every day for free; the top prize is £100 in cold, hard cash. For members who want to spend their summers away from screens and online bingo sites, there is the Summer Sun Experience promo, which can dish out theme park and experience day vouchers, worth up to £250, and Staycation prizes, worth up to £500. Given that a weekend in an Air BnB in Cornwall now comes with a similar price ticket to a trip to Dubai, the chance for a free mini getaway is keeping many people glued to Sun Bingo.

The platform also has £1 million in prizes to give away in July; to grab a slice of that cash pot before the month is through, check out any of the bargain bingo games found in the Cash Cave. To take part, snag some 1p – 5p tickets and head to the Cash Cave between midday and midnight. If you aren’t feeling the bingo buzz, you can always try your luck on the Mega Fire Roulette tables, which are giving away £1000 mystery cash drop prizes instead.

: If you always struggle to find the perfect songs to play while you are nipping into bingo rooms or playing any of the other games on the Sun Bingo sister sites, you may want to pay attention to an article recently published by The Sun, which lists 36 ‘bingo bangers’ – their words, absolutely not ours! In addition to creating the ultimate bingo playlist, Sun Bingo also created a unique musical bingo game by ensuring each of the 36 songs on their cleverly curated playlist includes a number somewhere in the song title. Once you have added the 36 songs to your Spotify playlist, you will need to create a 4 x 4 bingo grid with 16 squares in total; each square should be randomly assigned a number; once you are good to go, load up your playlist and hit the shuffle button. Naturally, you will need to ensure that each of the bingo cards is unique; otherwise, it defeats the purpose of the game. As usual, the player who gets a full house will be the winner. Of course, you can always assign prizes for diagonal, vertical, or horizontal lines.

Sun Bingo Bangers

A few of the singles included on the Sun Bingo playlist are One Way or Another by Blondie, Twenty Days and Twenty Nights by Elvis Presley, 29 Palms by Robert Plant and 36 Degrees by Placebo. Even if you can’t convince your friends that music bingo is a phenomenal idea, the Bingo Bangers playlist will create a solid soundtrack for your bingo sessions!

: On the 26th of June, Sun Bingo decided to share some of their favourite BBQ recipes in the Sun newspaper, sensing it was a great opportunity to remind the Sun readers of their site while tantalising tastebuds with classic BBQ staples. Seemingly, BBQs have come a long way since the days of slapping a few burgers and sausages on there, judging by the choice recipes. A few of the top recommended recipes included ones for halloumi skewers, harissa lamb skewers, and fill and grill potato skins. There were also ample suggestions for vegans, including grilled peaches, baked corn ribs, and Italian-style grilled baby courgettes.

At the end of the article, there was a hyperlink to all of the sizzling games that are available to play at the Sun Bingo sister sites, including Hot Slot 777 Stars 9 Stars Jackpot. The slot name may be a bit of a mouthful, but the red-hot game play is one that you will be happy to savour all through summer. The Wazdan game is effortless to play; especially when it comes to snagging the fixed jackpots. When you catch six or more of the star symbols on the 5 – 3 grid you will bank one of four jackpot prizes. 6, 7, 8, and 9 stars will award you with 20x, 50x, 150x or 500x your stake, respectively – now you can see how Wazdan came up with the title of the simple but rewarding game, which plays by 9 Pots of Gold Rules. Sadly, there are no free spins available, but there is a gamble feature you can use to boost your wins.

: The Sun newspaper may be guilty of a multitude of sins, but at least they know to concoct a great pun; case in point, a new article promoting the Luck Fabulous wheel, which is available to spin at the Sun Bingo sister sites. On the 13th of June, the Sun informed its readers that they could be “onto a spinner” with the new prize wheels, which will be available throughout the summer. The Luck Fabulous Wheel is free to play every day; the enhanced Absolutely Fabulous Wheel requires a £10 deposit and wager the previous day. Even though the free wheel can dish out a variety of generous prizes, such as bingo bonuses, cash, or free spins, the biggest prizes are only available from the Absolutely Fabulous prize wheel. Unlike the Luck Fabulous Wheel, there are no losing segments on the Ab Fab wheel, which disappointingly has no ties with the 90s series of the same name.

Sun Bingo Absolutely Fabulous Wheel

The two prize wheels are available for all players in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. During the promo period, players will be eligible for one prize each day, and the top prize, which all participants will undoubtedly be gunning for, is the £100 cash prize, which will be deposited into your account as soon as the prize wheel confirms you have won it. Both wheels can be found by venturing to the promotions tab; however, you can only spin them from midday onwards, and you have to get your spins in before 11:59 pm.

: Age of the Gods: God of Storms III is one of the hottest online slot games to ever be churned out of the Playtech iGaming factory. It enjoys an ever-lasting legacy across the Sun Bingo sister sites, and this week, it is looking like the iconic mythology-themed slot game will see an uptick in popularity as Sun Bingo is giving its players the chance to receive up to 40 free games on the iconic set of reels. The promotion was juicy enough to warrant a shout-out in the Bingo site’s sister publication, The Sun, on the 30th of May. Unfortunately, even though the bonus spins are free and won’t take a chunk out of your bankroll while you spin through them, you will need to invest some cash to cash in on the bonus spins. But if you can all too easily glue yourself to the deity-smattered reel set, it is worth opting into the promotion and meeting the minimum deposit and wagering requirements. If you stake £10, £20, £40, £60, or £80 on the game, you will receive 5, 10, 20, 30 or 40 spins, respectively.

The bonus to the wager percentage may not be overly high, but all it will take to make it worth your while is for one of those 5 – 40 free games to snag you one of the four jackpot prizes which the slot game is equipped with. This promotion will run from the 29th of May to the 4th of June when a new game will be put in the Slot Light.

: If you have ever wanted to know the difference between 75-ball, 80-ball, and 90-ball bingo, it is all revealed in an article posted in The Sun on behalf of Sun Bingo. Even though the answer might sound kind of obvious, there are more differences between the bingo variants than the number of balls that are called during an average game. Before the writers elaborated on the distinctions of each of the variants, they revealed the fun fact that, in some form, bingo games have existed since Ancient Rome; as hard as it is to imagine the likes of Augustus, Caesar and Mark Antony all partaking in the game. The article also covers how niche the themes of bingo rooms have become, Coronation Street or Cow Pat bingo, anyone?

Sun Bingo Cow Pat Bingo

75-ball bingo is the favoured format in the US for the speedy gameplay and the chance to win up to five prizes per game; the smallest prize is paid for one line, while the largest is paid for shouting full house. 80-ball bingo is played on a 4 x 4 grid; instead of a 5 x 5 bingo card, like 75-ball bingo, these bingo games can offer multiple prizes too; you can even win a prize by dabbing each of the four corners on the bingo card in some versions. Last but certainly not least is the format, which is most popular in the UK, 90-ball bingo, which plays on a far larger 9 x 3 bingo grid. Typically, the only prizes are for one line, two lines and full house.

: Usually, the Sun Bingo sister sites use their own newspaper to advertise the new games and promotions or to run interviews with its bingo callers to help members get to know them better. This week, for some very unknown reason, Sun Bingo decided to recommend eight shows to watch over the weekend for some feel-good viewing. The first item on the list was a show that should need no introduction; everyone knows about it and either loves or hates it, but the Sun Bingo TV tastemakers went out on a limb to recommend rewatching the TV show Friends. Apparently, classic and iconic aren’t strong enough words to describe the TV show, which serves as a portal into 90s culture, and the plotlines are still relatable, even though no waitress would ever be able to afford to live in a bougie New York apartment in 2023!

The second TV recommendation was a little less divisive, although the fact that it was described as Friends but set in a police precinct in New York won’t win everyone over. Although, it says a lot about Brooklyn Nine-Nine that Fox attempted to cancel it after it ran through its fifth season before it was brought back by popular demand. Quite hilariously, the third recommendation was also written to appeal to fans of Friends. While the friend-focused nature of The Big Bang Theory does share some similarities, it is safe to say the two sitcoms are worlds apart. Only later in the list did the article recommend British shows, including Vicar of Dibley and Black Adder.

: On April 26, The Sun newspaper revealed that all of the online slot games that are connected to the Jackpot King prize network operated by Blueprint Games can currently give players the chance to win the progressive jackpot prize which was at £1.65 million at the time of writing. All it takes is one lucky spin to bank the jackpot on the slots that are available across the Sun Bingo sister sites. It doesn’t matter the size of your stake, every player of hit games, such as Eye of Horus, Deal or No Deal Megaways and Pots O Riches, has an equal opportunity to claim the life-changing jackpot prize. In addition to the Jackpot King prizes, there are also two smaller must-drop jackpots, which never seem to get as much notoriety. The first is the Royal Pot Jackpot, which will automatically payout when it hits £3,500; the second is the Regal Pot Jackpot, which will drop into the account of the lucky player who takes it over the £35,000 mark. To make it harder to gauge when this will happen, the progressive jackpot Blueprint Games are played across thousands of online casinos outside of the Sun Bingo sister site network.

Sun Bingo Jackpot King

If you like your prizes to be more of a sure thing, you could instead take advantage of the featured game promotion at Sun Bingo, which will give you 25 free spins on the selected online slot game of the week after you deposit and stake £10 or more on it. Funnily enough, this week’s selected game is also part of the Jackpot King network!

: On the 17th of April, The Sun newspaper put the deals and promotions available at the Sun Bingo sister sites fresh in the minds of its online readers – one thing is for sure, they are in no short supply! There are always ongoing promotions to take advantage of, including everything from free bingo cards and huge cash prizes to tangible prizes which can be delivered to your home address from the Sun Bingo awards page. Naturally, the list started by detailing the welcome package, which costs just £10 to unlock, before it awards 50 free spins and £50 in free bingo tickets! Once you have gotten to the bottom of the welcome bundle and you are on the hunt for additional promotional perks, you can turn to a range of promotions which don’t even require further deposits to trigger!

The Spin-Go Prize Wheel is undoubtedly one of the main attractions at Sun Bingo, you can spin it every day – just as long as you get a spin in before midnight! One of the top prizes from the Wheel of Fortune-style free game is £100 in cash; you will also stand to win smaller cash prizes, free spins and bingo tickets. The Mega Spin-Go Wheel works in a very similar way, the only differences are that you need to deposit at least £10 to spin it, but it can quickly pay off, as the cash prizes are even more lucrative. The Slot Lite promotion is a great way to get your spinning fingers on some free games; each week, you will have the opportunity to grab up to 25 of them on the hottest game of the week.

: As buying your own Easter Eggs never seems to be as satisfying as receiving them as a gift, the Sun Bingo sister sites stocked up on plenty of them to share with their loyal members. Although, plenty of them might be a bit of a stretch, there are only ten hampers to be given away at a rate of five a week. To take part in the Easter Hamper Prize Draw, you must be 18+, be an ROI or UK resident, and have a completely verified account with Sun Bingo. Once you are all set up, you will need to deposit and wager £10 on any of the participating bingo rooms after using the unique promo code HAMPER2.

There are no restrictions on how many times you can enter the prize giveaway, and you will have your pick of seven different hampers. Usually, the bingo site offers cash alternatives to its physical prizes, but in this instance, there are none available. The prize giveaway started on April 3 and will wrap up on April 9. If you are one of the lucky winners, you will be notified on April 11 at 8:15 PM. Any winners will receive a link to the Sun Bingo Prize website, and prizes must be claimed within 21 days. After entering your postal address and confirming your details, your prize will be with you in 28 days as a courtesy of Amazon delivery. Naturally, the bingo room you will need to buy tickets for is the sticky-sweet Candy Room, which will definitely put you in the mood for a sugar fix.

: As the Sun Bingo sister sites often do, the newspaper-branded bingo platform called upon the writers at The Sun to advertise the Pick n Mix bingo room. In addition to being able to grab sticky-sweet prizes, the bingo platform is giving players the chance to create their very own sweets by using their birthdays and name. It feels a little gimmicky to us, but if that is what it takes to get your boat floating, dive right into this cool feature, which may leave you with a sweet tooth for giant strawberries, fizzy cola bottles, and those giant multicoloured snakes that used to make your pick n mix selections come in at an insanely extortionate price. Moving onto the bingo room itself, it runs every day from noon until midnight. As it plays with 75 balls, there are five prizes up for grabs, including the full house jackpot prize and prizes for one, two, three, and four lines.

Sun Bingo Pick and Mix

Depending on which game you are buying tickets for, the cost varies between 20p and 40p. To increase your chances of winning, you can buy up to 72 tickets for each game. However, as the prize pot will only reach up to £45 max, it probably doesn’t make a lot of sense to go overboard when buying tickets! Although some games come with access to an exclusive jackpot, which starts at £500, at the time of writing, it is worth £770! The jackpot will be yours if you call a full house in 48 balls or less.

: After Blueprint Gaming made plenty of waves with their new Deal or No Deal online slot game, The Sun Bingo sister sites decided to one-up the developer by launching Deal or No Deal Bingo Rooms, which give players the chance to beat the banker. The new bingo rooms were advertised in The Sun newspaper earlier this week, and unsurprisingly, it has almost become as much of a hit as the Channel 4 TV game show, which took the UK by storm when it first launched in 2005. Unfortunately, the game show stopped airing in 2016, meaning that many people missed out on their chance to test their box-picking skills. Although, during the years while the show was on-air, 2975 contestants got the chance to win anything from 1p – £250k. Interestingly, it wasn’t until 2007 that the top prize was banked by the lucky contestant, Laura Pearce.

Over the years, the game evolved to keep viewers and players interested, and many of the newer features have ended up in online bingo games on sites such as Sun Bingo. There are two new DOND rooms to enter, the first is a 75-ball game, which plays 24 hours a day. Depending on which game you are buying tickets for, the tickets will vary between 5p and 25p, and the full house jackpots start at £50 and rise to £125. The second DOND room is a 90-ball game, which plays out in a very similar fashion. Both rooms come with hefty community jackpots too!

: Never let it be said that any of the Sun Bingo sister sites sleeps on the social media-heavy days that mostly revolve around posting for likes. At least when they celebrated Dress in Blue Day they were getting behind a good cause. The bingo site compelled its players to “eat, drink, dress and play in blue” on ‘Feel Good Friday’ to raise awareness for colon cancer. As colon cancer often has few early warning signs, typically, it isn’t noticed until it has reached an advanced stage. For once, The Sun Newspaper used their journo powers for the greater good to urge people to go for a screening.

Sun Bingo Showboat

The newspaper had some pretty inventive suggestions on how you could be blue for the day. To eat blue, a diet of blueberries, duck eggs or blue cheese was suggested, or anyone that wants to get involved with the celebrations could ‘cheat’ and add blue food dye to their meals and snacks. To drink blue, The Sun suggested a blue lagoon mocktail using blue curacao syrup, the berry Powerade drinks, and the bolt from the blue smoothies by Innocent. To play blue, The Sun suggested a few bingo rooms that come with blue backdrops, such as the Showboat room, which plays with 90 bingo balls, pay the £15k jackpot if full-house is called in less than 38 balls, and opens from 6:35 AM – 11 PM. If the Showboat bingo room doesn’t float your… boat, you can always try Age of the Gods Bingo, which comes with an azure aura, and plenty of twists and turns.

: If you prefer real-life prizes to prizes that only have utility on online casinos and bingo sites, Sun Bingo launched an unmissable promotion this week with the All-Star Hotel Prize Draw. To participate, all members of Sun Bingo sister sites need to do is stake £10 or more in one of the three participating online slot games, Ted Cash Lock, The Walking Dead, or Reel Em In: A Bit Fishy. The prize draw will happen weekly to give participants plenty of chances to win a stay at the All-Star Hotel weekend in Blackpool. The top prize will provide an overnight stay in one of the top hotels in Blackpool, and you won’t have to go too far from the hotel for entertainment, as you will be staying at the hotel with celebrities, singers, dancers, and other entertainers!

The money can’t buy prize is the only way to get on the guestlist for the exclusive event that is being hosted by Sun Bingo. Every £10 spent on the slot games mentioned above will equate to three entries into the draw; if you really want to increase your chances of rubbing shoulders with a few celebrities, the good news is that you can pay for an unlimited number of entries – make sure it is within your slot spinning budget! Prize draws will happen from the 21st of February to the 26th of March. The main event will take place on the 31st of March, and you will check out of the hotel on April 2nd.

The Sun Bingo Review 2024

There probably isn’t an adult alive in the United Kingdom who’s never heard of the Sun. It’s difficult to say whether it’s the most popular newspaper in the country anymore, but it’s certainly the noisiest in terms of both advertising and controversy. The high profile of the newspaper brand has allowed it to successfully launch Sun Bingo and a couple of Sun Bingo sister sites, all of which have gone on to become popular with players. You don’t have to read or even like the Sun newspaper to play at Sun Bingo, but you might get more of a kick out of some of its exclusive bingo rooms if you do. Sun Bingo has been online since 2006 and has seen a couple of changes in ownership during that time, but it’s now in the hands of VF2011 Limited – a company that has direct ties to the newspaper group. Is it better or worse for that decision? Now is a good time to review Sun Bingo and see how it’s holding up.

Sun Bingo Welcome Offers

The Sun Bingo does more than just bingo. It also does online slots plus a whole host of other casino games. In fact, there’s so much casino content here it makes us wonder why there’s any need for Sun Vegas to exist at all. That’s not our problem, though – it’s VF2011 Limited’s. The expansive range of entertainment available at the site is reflected in its welcome offer, which is a £50 bingo bonus plus fifty free spins to spend on online slots. To receive the bonus, new players must deposit and spend £10 in one of the site’s bingo rooms. The free spins offer must be accepted manually within 48 hours of completing the eligibility requirements, but the bingo bonus will be available immediately once the £10 has been spent. Any winnings created by free spins come with an x30 wagering requirement which must be completed within those 48 hours. The wagering requirement on the bingo bonus is lower at x4 and must be spent within seven days. Players who prefer to use e-wallets should note that deposits made via Skrill, PayPal, or Neteller do not qualify for this promotion.

Ongoing Promotions

The first thing we should say about the ongoing promotions at Sun Bingo is that there are a lot of them. The second thing we should say is that some of them are a lot more likely to be of use to you than others. Rather than an overarching reward system to incentivise long-term players, Sun Bingo works with a constant supply of smaller promotions that are constantly chopped and changed to keep players interested. That means some of these promotions might already be gone by the time you get a chance to visit the site, but the majority of them will hopefully still be there.

The most popular ongoing promotion at Sun Bingo is the “Spin Go” wheel, which every player is allowed to spin once per day free of charge. There’s no guarantee that they’ll win anything by doing so, but it’s possible to win instant cash, free bingo tickets or free spins this way. Any bonuses or free spins won from the wheel come with zero wagering requirements, which is a nice perk. In addition to this, spending £10 at Sun Bingo each week ensures that players are opted into prize draws for cash prizes and physical goods. The value of the goods and the cash prizes changes from one promotion to the next.

Playing specific games at Sun Bingo can sometimes qualify a player for rewards, for example, right now spending £10 on Clover Rollover bags five free spins on Red Wizard, and the Showboat, Cabaret, and Candy bingo rooms have enhanced prize pots thanks to the site’s “Super Link” theme. Spending as little as £1 in the bingo lobby gets every player one free daily scratch card, with a maximum prize of £10 on each card.

Other prize draw and game or room-based promotions seem to be time-limited, so it’s not worth covering them in detail now. However, it’s likely that when they’re gone, they’ll be replaced by something similar, so it’s always worth reading the contents of the promotions page when you log in to see if anything’s changed since your last visit.

Sun Bingo: Pros and Cons

Pros:

Sun Bingo has a top-class set of exclusive bingo rooms and an extensive set of casino options, including everything from online slots to virtual sports. Customer service is available over the phone or on live chat, and there are promotions available for every occasion. The terms of the promotions appear to be fair, and the site has a lively community.

Cons:

This might sound like nitpicking, but customer service at Sun Bingo isn’t available 24/7. It cuts off at 1am and starts again at 8am. That’s only a seven-hour window, but there are night owls out there, and it leaves them without support temporarily. Also, we found the information presented at the site regarding withdrawals to be unclear. The only guidance we could find about withdrawal speeds is that they could take up to fourteen days, which would be incredibly slow compared to even the most average sites across the industry.

Featured Slots and Casino Games

Sun Bingo Banner

While most players come to Sun Bingo because of its bingo rooms, the quality and range of the slots available are another reason to give the casino your consideration. As much effort has been put into making exclusive slots as has been put into making exclusive bingo rooms, and that’s apparent in the range of Sun-branded slots that line the top of the “featured slots” section of the site.

The Sun Winning Headlines: This slot was designed for the site back when it was owned by Gamesys but is still available. It’s a standard 5*3 slot, but the newspaper theme is both original and entertaining. Players need only land three newspaper symbols on a payline to get a prize-picker bonus feature. By picking headlines, players select a multiplier and a number of free spins that can be trebled by finding special symbols once the feature is up and running. The slot looks a little dated now, but its winning potential is still there.

Mystic Meg: Seasoned fortune teller and astrologer Mystic Meg has her own bingo room at Sun Bingo but also has this online slots game. It’s another Gamesys creation and dates back to 2015. Land at least three matching star sign symbols to kick off a “fortune teller” free spins round in which all wins are multiplied by the number of matching symbols that triggered the round. Again, this is a simple-looking slot, but graphics aren’t everything in an online slots game.

The Sun Branded Megaways: It used to be an accomplishment for a brand to get its own Megaways slot, but Iron Dog Studio has now done so many of them for so many different brands that it’s no longer quite the unique selling point that it once was. Nevertheless, this slot has everything you’d want to see in a Megaways framework, including avalanche wins, high volatility, 117,649 ways to win and a maximum jackpot of x40,000 against your stake. RTP is a fairly reasonable 96.2%.

Branded slots and casino games are a big deal across the whole Sun Bingo sister sites range, including slots based on movies and branded roulette games like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Roulette. Table games, virtual sports, and games with live dealers appear elsewhere on the site.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

We’ve touched on the deposit and withdrawal situation above, but here’s the full picture. Players at Sun Bingo won’t have any difficulties getting money into their accounts. They can use any major UK debit card right the way down to Maestro cards but are also welcome to use Paysafe voucher cards or any one of three e-wallets – PayPal, Skrill, and MoneyBookers. The issue will come when trying to get money back out of the site again. All Sun Bingo can tell us is that withdrawals can take up to fourteen days in some circumstances. We’d like to think that’s an outer limit and that some withdrawals are faster. In the case of e-wallets, we’d like to think that they might even be instant. The truth is that we don’t know, though – and that’s an irritation.

Customer Support and License

Sun Bingo comes very close to getting everything right when it comes to customer service. The contact options offered by the casino aren’t difficult to find, and they include telephone and email support. The only slight drawback is the hours of availability, which begin at 8am and end at 1am. There’s no reason why a company with the resources of the one behind this casino site can’t offer round-the-clock support, so live chat at least ought to be 24-7. Instead, there’s no live chat at all. The correct telephone number for the casino is 020 3962 1818, and the email address is [email protected].

All of the games at Sun Bingo are presented in accordance with the licence that VF2011 Limited holds with the UK Gambling Commission (45110) and also the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (136C1).

Sun Bingo – The Verdict

We’d expect a casino attached to a big brand, which is what Sun Bingo is, to provide a quality gaming experience, and for the main part, it does. We can’t fault the range of games and nor can we fault the range of promotions. We’d like customer services to wrap around the clock for the benefit of night owls and a little more clarity about how long withdrawals are likely to take. If we got that, we could talk about Sun Bingo as one of the best bingo and casino sites in the UK today.

About Sun Bingo and The Sun Newspaper

Sun Bingo was first created in 2006 and is part of the News UK Group, that also runs the widely known The Sun newspaper. When Sun Bingo was first launched, it was originally operated by Tombola, one of the biggest online bingo sites in the UK. This was only the case for four years, as Sun Bingo was then taken over by rival operator Gamesys. Then, in 2015, the site was acquired by Playtech and was made part of Virtue Fusion, which is the bingo division for Playtech. According to News UK, Sun Bingo is one of the five biggest and best bingo sites in the UK, with over 1 million registered players. The site seems to focus more closely on bingo rather than general casino games, but still has casino games available to play for those who are not looking for just bingo itself.

The Sun newspaper consistently advertises Sun Bingo on their online news site, which is one of the biggest news outlets in the UK and has been operating online for many years. The Sun Online has millions of visitors and readers, so this is likely the main mode of advertising for Sun Bingo. You can also find many promotions and offers advertised through The Sun online’s webpage and this will work to draw in new and existing players to the bingo site.

Sun Bingo Sponsorships and Awards

At the Which Bingo Awards in 2021, Sun Bingo managed to bag a handful of awards, including the top prize ‘Best Bingo Site.’ Alongside this massive achievement, Sun Bingo also won the awards for ‘Best Playtech Bingo site’ and ‘Best Bingo Chat Team’. In previous years, the site has also won many other awards. In 2014 they received awards for ‘Best Online Bingo Chat Team’ and ‘Best Online Bingo TV Advert’. In 2018 they received the award for ‘Best Marketing Campaign’ for their ‘Are You Gonna Bingo?’ campaign. The awards are decided mainly through player votes and are generally regarded highly within the bingo industry.

Sun Bingo Jeremy Kyle

From 2018 to 2019, Sun Bingo was the official sponsor of ‘The Jeremy Kyle Show’, right up until it was cancelled and taken off the air. Since then, it doesn’t appear that Sun Bingo sponsors any other television shows or anything else at all for that matter. Another TV show sponsor might be useful in boosting their popularity alongside the outstanding awards they have received. Also, for a few years, they have had comedian Jayde Adams as their ambassador who stars in all of the adverts for the site, and she is essentially the face of Sun Bingo.

Sun Bingo Television Advertisements

In many of Sun Bingo’s adverts and also on their main site homepage, you can find British comedian Jayde Adams. She features in many of the newer adverts, including one of the most popular ones on Sun Bingo’s YouTube channel “Are You Gonna Bingo”. This was the advertising campaign that won Sun Bingo an award back in 2018. In this specific advert, which has over 100k views on the YouTube channel, you can see Jayde appearing in weird and random different locations and situations asking if you are “gonna bingo?” over and over again. The advert features quite a catchy background tune that accompanies Jayde’s ‘rap style’ of speaking and turns it into an advert that will stick around in your brain for days. This is a sneaky marketing technique to get people to remember certain brands and products because of a catchy slogan that is simple and easy to remember. There are also a series of additional skits included in this campaign that feature Jayde and the other stars of the advert, which are light-hearted and humorous but still fit the original theme.

Sun Bingo Advert

The most popular video on the Sun Bingo channel is a video titled “Win a Car Every Day”, which advertises their competition and gives players a chance to win a car or a share of a cash prize over the two-week competition period. The video has over 270k views and was uploaded in 2017. The slogan in this advert – which appears in many other video adverts for Sun Bingo – is “Sun Bingo is Fun Bingo”, which promotes the bingo site in a very positive light and, of course, as fun! They also have a variety of other styles of video on the channel including longer vlogs starring Jayde Adams as well as ‘meet the winner’ videos where we get to see real winners who have got lucky on the bingo site and hear them speak about their personal experience with the site. This is a helpful way to show players that they too can win and real people are actually managing to win money on the site, making other players believe that it could be them winning next.

Sun Bingo on Social Media

Sun Bingo is currently present on Facebook and Twitter, but there is no verified account on Instagram. On Facebook the page boasts over 18k page likes and the Twitter account has over 5k followers, both with a verified tick to show that it is legit and prove its authenticity. The Facebook page posts general content about the games and events that are available over on the site, as well as safer gambling awareness posts. They share themed posts and related promotional posts to all the entertainment that is happening over on the bingo site. But Twitter unfortunately has been inactive since 2019, where the last few posts were sharing posts including their ambassador, Jayde Adams. It is likely that the majority of Sun Bingo’s audience will use Facebook over Twitter and Instagram, so this is possibly the reason they are most active on Facebook and have not bothered to establish a presence on the other platforms. Also, alongside their advertising on The Sun online, they likely receive a large enough number of players from that alone that they do not have a need for a large social media presence.
